Victory

Husky, Ready and I went to Egret Park today. All went well. Ready is riding better in the car but still panting a lot. I looked into a cooling pad for him to lie on, but I think I will rely upon wet bandanas around the dogs' necks.

Ready can now lie down on his mat beside me and go up and down the hall without running and sliding on the runners. He and Husky steal each others toys, and they want to play rougher than I can stand, so I intervene, take the toy, and throw it outside for Ready. The backyard fence still is not fixed, so I can only let Ready play in the side yard.

It was 82 today, so as we walked, we looked for trees with shade. Tomorrow, we shall return to Egret Park.

2009 taxes

For the first time, I'm filing income tax in 'retirement.' I have two W-2s, but I also have 1099-Rs. I have a lot of work ahead of me today if I am to understand what I need to do.

Oil Volcano

For a month it has been spewing in the Gulf of Mexico. BP has let it, interested only in capturing the oil spewing forth. They have ruined our country. I'm still working on 2008 taxes. I can't leave for San Juan Island until I am finished.

I walked the dog.

Now I must do taxes!
